Portomarín is a perfect meeting point for hikers. On foot, by bike or by car, there are attractive proposals all over the surroundings of the village.
Circular path of Portomarín
It is a walking trail among oaks and chestnut trees, near the water, leading to Mount Ferreira and the river of the same name, a tributary of the Miño river. It goes over the old bridges of Lión and Cebres, a walk along silent woods, just hearing the murmur of birds and waters; then the way up to Mount Reboredo, the Piunca creek, the Alto do Valiño peak, and the way back to the village. This route is around 12 km. In autumn, it is especially great for those fond of mycology.
